Celebrating 100 YEARS!

10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! Ooops, it is not yet new year, It's HAPPY CENTENNIAL YEAR!!! The excitement, the happiness, the ughh... I can't describe my feelings anymore but only too much excitement for the upcoming centennial years of the Assumption. Facilitators, staffs, nuns and students that are preparing for the upcoming celebration are very excited and busy. Preparing for the songs to sing, inviting old Assumption girls and boys, organizing activities, etc. But before we welcome the centennial celebration, let us recall the activities we did when we start the countdown.

What the first thing you thought when your school will celebrate its 10 years, 50 years or 100 years? Of course, lots of activities, no class for 3 days, many visitors to come, etc. Do you thought who established your school? Who are the principals? the former adviser of your classroom? Whatever. Let's concentrate in one topic, the celebration of the Assumption on its 100 years. Let me recall the events, activities and happiness we did last school year.

Everything is new for me when I enter the big walls of the Assumption-Iloilo. New faces, new classmates, new facilitators, new staffs,etc. Also the school, the education that they give to us, the rules and the challenges. Well, I am very lucky for having Assumption-Iloilo as my school for my higher level education.

Assumption is celebrating its 100 years of spreading the five values; faith, love, truth, justice and peace. There are lots of events happened for just 10 months (including this school year). Vespers, Foundation Mass, Pet Fair, Career week, etc. But studying in the Assumption makes me happy because I experienced something special than my school when I'm still in grade school. The learners here are all thoughtful, friendly and understanding.The facilitators are all nice in values even the way they teach me. The nuns are reaching out with the students.
